Breathtaking Sunrise

The other morning I was rushing around to leave the house by 7 a.m. for yet another appointment for our van, which seems to be falling apart under us these days. Although I truly do thank God for our beautiful home and land almost every day, it certainly wasn’t on my mind on that particular morning as I rushed out to get in the car.

I happened to look up just before opening the driver-side door, and I literally stopped in my tracks and gasped at the sight.

Sun beams are one of my very favorite things in the world — and have been since the first time I captured one on camera while visiting the U.N. during a trip to New York City for my 13th birthday — but never have I seen any as breathtaking as these.

I’m pretty sure this will always be one of my favorite pictures, and it was a good chance to stop and appreciate all of my blessings on an otherwise hectic morning!

Here are some of my favorite posts from this week. As always, check out what I’m reading to see the other posts that make me stop and think. You’ll find new posts all week long!

What a serene and wonderful sight Mandi!!! It’s one more proof, if proof were needed that whatever goes on in our own little worlds, nature or let’s call it creation always stays on top of everything!!!
Thanks for sharing with us that wonderful God’s blink to you on that grumpy morning ;-)

How beautiful. I love capturing pics of the sun like that when it’s shining behind clouds. It makes me wonder how one could ever doubt the existence of God
