How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too

How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too is for every mother who’s ever wondered if it’s possible to pursue her own passions while investing in her family and managing a home.

I say yes…because it’s the life I’ve been living for the past 7 years.

It’s not easy, and there will be plenty of challenges and sacrifices along the way, but if you’re willing to work hard, you can have the best of both worlds!

Before I tell you what this ebook is, let’s talk about what it’s not:

  • It’s not a list of work-at-home opportunities.
  • It’s not about the tax or legal implications of working at home.
  • It’s not a hyped-up self-help book that’s going to leave you excited without a realistic picture of what working at home entails.

What it is is encouragement that pursuing your passion is worth the hard work and effort it takes. In fact, I believe everybody in the family benefits when Mom pursues her passion, despite — or maybe because of — the sacrifices that are made along the way.

It’s a handbook to give you the tools to juggle your many responsibilities and to do it with intentionality rather than living under the burden of mommy guilt.

How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too is primarily designed for stay-at-home moms who want to pursue their passion or work-at-home moms who are already juggling both roles; however, there are plenty of valuable tips for women who work outside of the home, serve in a ministry or volunteer organization or just want to find time to pursue a hobby as well.

Testimonials

Amen, sister! That is my first reaction after reading and reviewing the new e-book by Mandi Ehman from Life Your Way. Her e-book, How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too is an inspirational, encouraging, and realistic take on becoming a work at home mom. However, I feel that it is all those aspects for ANY mom or woman trying to maintain some sort of order in her life.
~Carrie, My Favorite Finds

I’ve been doing the work-at-home mom thing for 3.5 years and before I read this e-book I would have told you that there’s no way you can have it all.  It felt like I was a jack-of-all trades, but master of none.  I love my kids and I love this blog, but it’s hard work… and not always for much pay.

[Mandi] doesn’t sugar coat the work-at-home mom juggling act in her book.  But as she shares her personal story in How to Have Your Cake & Eat It, Too, she gave me hope that there is a better way than what I’ve been doing.  This e-book gave me some practical, time-saving tips to make a deliberate plan for a life that includes a happy family and a fulfilling work-at-home career.
~Christina Brown, Northern Cheapskate

I won’t go into huge detail about the book because I don’t want to spill the beans — but I WILL tell you that each page is truly amazing and inspiring.

If you’ve ever thought, wished, or dreamed about pursuing your passion and making an income all while raising your family; this book will show you that it IS possible to “Have Your Cake and Eat It Too”.

This is so true! Our six-year-old just started to show an interest in classical music and composers after she played with a LeapPad game about them. We were able to use YouTube to show her part of The Nutcracker and one of those flash mobs singing The Hallelujah Chorus at a department store. She asked for more using the Pandora app on my phone after that. :) She’s also taking an online Spanish class and practicing math facts using online games. It’s amazing how much she soaks in through technology!

I ordered, but was not able to download. I sent an email a week ago, but haven’t heard back. I would like to read this book, as it sounds right up my alley. I was also going to order Truth in the Tinsel, but won’t until I know that purchases are safe here and that the product can be delivered. Thanks!

Hello! I just purchased one of these!! :) My paypal did not ask me to confirm my address, and I recently moved provinces. How do I ensure it gets to the right address? Change with you? or paypal?
    cheers!

Mandi, I just ordered one. I’m hoping it will be the answer to my need for a blog planning book.  I just got my Erin Condren planner 2 days ago and LOVE it for home life planning and I use a MomAgenda for work (love the rows for each of my clients) I’ve tried using just one planner for everything and it causes me to get very distracted and did not help me with my focus. I’m excited to see how it works for me!

    Hi Janet!

Remember they’re coming from Korea, so it can take a while. But you should have received an email verifying your shipping address. Go ahead and reply to that email again and they should be able to track your package!

    Hope that helps!

How fun! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!
