I’ve always loved the 4th of July! As far as holidays go, there aren’t a ton of expectations associate with it, there’s no tension between religious observation and commercialism, and it includes some of my very favorite things — freedom, family, food and fireworks! (I really didn’t plan for all of those to begin with “f”…)
To my fellow Americans: I hope today is filled with all of those good things (and more!).
